NCPA, NACDS, and APhA recently submitted a joint letter asking FDA to delay implementation of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act. Together, the three organizations requested FDA use its authority under the law for dispensers to comply with the enhanced drug distribution security (EDDS) requirements to be no earlier than Feb. 27, 2026. (It is currently set to take effect Nov. 27.) The joint letter follows a similar letter sent by HDA last month to FDA also calling for a delay in DSCSA implementation.
