The Ohio Pharmacists Association recently honored Ernie Boyd, who retired as executive director of the organization in October after 34 years of service. Bob Blake, NCPA Foundation Board member and a past president of NCPA, led the tributes by saying Boyd’s leadership catapulted OPA to national recognition as a strong and clear advocacy voice. “Ernie has been the driving force to help Ohio community pharmacy to survive and his work against the PBM industry has been unparalleled,” said Blake. “[And] with his political activity skills, he improved the role of pharmacists in the health care field.” Learn more about OPA.
