ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Dec. 20, 2023) – The National Community Pharmacists Association is pleased to announce these upcoming events for pharmacists and pharmacy team members:
- Jan. 11 – Using Next-Generation Analytics To Inform Margin Opportunities for Dispensing and Health Care Services, online course. Using revenue and expense data for dispensing and health services opportunities, pharmacy teams can leverage return-on-resources modeling for big-picture decision-making. This is part of a broader series highlighting novel enhanced services that pharmacies can implement. Learn more and register.
- Jan. 24 – DSME: Getting Pharmacies Paid for CGM Interpretation Using Self-Care Behavior Counseling, part of our Rapid Relief Revenue Learning Hour initiative. Diabetes self-management education expert Travis Wolff will be helping pharmacies get paid for the time they spend setting up continuous glucose monitoring devices, explaining results, and managing medication therapy. - Jan. 29 – Registration deadline for the Diabetes Accreditation Boot Camp. The NCPA Innovation Center is teaming up with PharmFurther to offer this turnkey online course that will help prepare participants for DSME accreditation in six weeks or less so they can bill Medicare and other payers for diabetes education they’re probably already providing. - Feb. 16 – Registration deadline for the NCPA Innovation Center/CPESN Community Pharmacy Fellowship, sponsored by Good Neighbor Pharmacy. This executive MBA-like program showcases outstanding pharmacy peers who walk participants through implementing successful services that generate revenue beyond dispensing. Learn more and register.
Additionally, registration is open for NCPA’s Multiple Locations Conference, which will take place Feb. 28 - March 2, 2024, at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa in Fort Myers, Fla. According to the 2023 NCPA Digest, sponsored by Cardinal Health, 30 percent of independent community pharmacy owners have ownership in two or more pharmacies. Many others may aspire to own multiple pharmacies. NCPA’s Multiple Locations Conference is where savvy owners come to learn to manage the complexity that can come with additional stores and discover solutions and strategies to make their pharmacies thrive.
