NCPA is mourning the loss of 2004-2005 NCPA President Anton “Tony” Welder, who passed away March 18 in Bismarck, N.D. Born in 1938, Tony was an accomplished pharmacy owner with several locations and was on the forefront of introducing naturopathic medicine alternatives. For his service he was awarded the North Dakota Small Business Person of the Year Award. He was also a long-term financial supporter of the NCPA Foundation, helping to fund scholarships, disaster relief, and other programs for independent pharmacies.
