NCPA was proud to stand with the Nevada Pharmacy Alliance in support of A.B. 186, a bill that expands pharmacists’ prescribing and testing authority for medications and CLIA-waived testing. In addition, A.B. 186 requires that health insurance providers and Medicaid cover and reimburse services provided by pharmacists with parity to other licensed providers. This legislation codifies existing federal authorities through the PREP Act and paves the way for a payment model for pharmacists to be compensated fairly.
