Through late November and early December, President-elect Trump has been announcing his picks to further flesh out the health care team of his administration. Now, we’ve got some new names: Dr. Jay Bhattacharya has been chosen to lead the National Institutes of Health; Florida sheriff Chad Chronister is the pick to lead the Drug Enforcement Agency; and Jim O'Neill—who previously worked at HHS during the Bush administration as well as served as CEO of a medical research organization—is the nominee for HHS deputy secretary.
These nominees join Trump's previously announced picks for the top jobs at HHS, CMS, FDA, and CDC, and for Surgeon General. NCPA will keep you up to date on any developments.
