Danny and Karen Cottrell of Brewton, Ala. recently met with Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Ala.) while in Washington for NCPA’s Committee Forum. Mr. Cottrell serves on the National Legislation Committee and Rep.Carl represents Alabama’s first district in the southwest corner of the state on the Gulf of Mexico, home to the state’s second largest city, Mobile. “The biggest thing a pharmacist has to be able to do … is answer basic questions,” Cottrell told America’s Pharmacist® back in August, “and a lot of folks just need someone they trust to tell them how to take their medicine right, or what to pair with their medicine.” Cottrell, who owns Medical Center Pharmacy in Brewton, Ala, has been working as a pharmacist — in the same location — for more than 40 years.
