“We try to be very intentional about our messaging when we talk about the Prescription Shoppe,” says Jade Ranger, PharmD, who co-owns the Prescription Shoppe in Williamsburg, Va., with her husband Henry Ranger, PharmD.
“We do not like to say ‘retail pharmacy.’ We’re not retailers, we’re health care providers,” Jade says. The Rangers feature in our “I am NCPA” profile in this month’s edition of America’s Pharmacist®.
Jade and Henry have created a sense of community in their three pharmacy locations, too.
“We’re trying to create a space where the pharmacist is not tucked away somewhere. You see us all the time. And I think that has built a lot of trust and loyalty among our customer base in our community overall,” Jade says.
