We’re one month into 2023 and one month into the Inflation Reduction Act vaccine changes taking effect. On Jan. 1, zero cost-sharing for ACIP-recommended vaccines under Medicare Part D began. These include influenza, pneumococcal, zoster, Tdap, hepatitis B vaccines, and others. As of Oct. 1, there will be no cost-sharing for ACIP-recommended vaccines under Medicaid and CHIP programs. These changes and more are outlined for members in NCPA’s 2023 Pharmacy Checklist. To access the checklist and slides from our recent regulatory updates presentation, members can log in to view here.
