Senate bill provides relief for small business

NCPA March 26, 2020

Late Wednesday, the Senate passed the CARES Act, the third federal stimulus package related to COVID-19. The bill includes a number of elements aimed at helping small business that NCPA strongly supports, and for which we've been lobbying aggressively. The House is expected to take it up today. If it passes the House, it is likely to be signed into law immediately by President Trump. Congress is expected to take up an additional COVID-19 package in the coming months. We will provide in-depth analysis of the small business provisions of the CARES Act in the coming days.
